Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe patient environment, assisting with procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient intake/output.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and either CNA licensure in Georgia, one year of direct patient care, nursing assistant training, or current nursing program

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS required.
• Must meet one of: one year of direct patient care; nursing assistant training; CNA license in GA; or currently enrolled in nursing program with 2 clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and observation duties under RN/LPN supervision.
• Communicate with patients, families, and care team.
• Maintain unit competencies and promote a healing environment.
• Assist in emergencies and with patient hygiene, comfort, and rest.
• Operate patient care equipment and document intake/output.
• Transport patients and specimens as needed.
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
