Responsibilities

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

  • Aid with movement and placement of patients.
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
  • Keep patient rooms clean and orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
  • Perform emergency department-specific care/duties as assigned within scope of job.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certifications may be required by specific job locations.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
