Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT)/CNA for our Critical Care Department. This 0.9 FTE, 72-hour two-week schedule features 12-hour day shifts in a 31-bed unit with specialties including open heart, neurology, and cardiology.

Qualified candidates will have CNA training, NA-C, BLS, and English proficiency. MA-P preferred or obtainable within 90 days of hire. Pay range is $25.95–$38.38 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent.
• Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
• BLS for Health Care Providers Certification required.
• MA-P preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• One-year recent healthcare experience preferred.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Critical Care setting.
• Assist with patient safety, comfort, and mobility.
• Document and communicate patient information accurately.

Overlake Medical Center is currently seeking a Patient Care Technician/CNA for Critical Care Department. Our Critical Care Department isa 31-bed unit with a variety of specialties including open heart/thoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, pulmonary and general medical surgical. Qualifications - PCT

• High school diploma preferred.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
• Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification (BLS) require.
• Washington State Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist (MA-P) preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• One-year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity is preferred.
• Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment, record keeping.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language.
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
