Patient Care Technician / CNA $1,500 sign on bonus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Patient Care Technician (PCT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Nursing Aide supports healthcare staff in providing personalized care to patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. They use patient care best practices to ensure a safe, comfortable, and healing environment, always adhering to Amberwell's cultural priorities. The PCT/NA should be comfortable working with specific populations, including the elderly and those with special needs, and must be empathetic and compassionate.

Their duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Helping patients bathe and maintain hygiene
  2. Assisting with toileting needs
  3. Feeding patients and providing water
  4. Assessing vital signs and patient behavior, notifying staff of changes
  5. Checking blood sugar levels and monitoring intake/output
  6. Preparing patient rooms with necessary items
  7. Assisting with mobility and transfers
  8. Turning and repositioning patients to prevent bedsores
