Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with patient care under the direction of professional staff on a 12X3 Night shift. The role supports the nursing unit and other staff to ensure quality care.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and 1 year of nursing assistant experience or CNA/CMA program completion, or nursing student in first semester. EMT/Paramedic or military medic backgrounds also considered.

Qualifications

1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility or
Graduate from a CNA program or CMA program or nursing student in first semester
Military medic/corpsman experience or foreign nursing graduate not licensed in the U.S.
EMT Certification/Paramedic License and BLS certification are considered.

Job Purpose

The Patient Care Technician under the direction of the professional staff, assists with patient care to provide support to the patient, nursing unit and professional staff.

Job Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required
1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility Or
Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program Or
Certified Medical Assistant program Or
Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program Or
Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman Or
Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S Or
EMT Certification/Paramedic License

Licenses and/or Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Required
