Job summary

Beverly Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant/PCT for Cardiac Telemetry. The role is 32 hours per week, daytime shifts, with a sign-on bonus of up to $3,300. Under RN supervision, you will perform basic patient care, vital signs, daily activities, and support the care team.

Required HS diploma and BLS within 90 days; CPR/basic life support is essential. CNA certification preferred but not required at hire. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Desire to help people and pursue healthcare.
• CNACertification preferred but not required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, height/weight, and oxygen saturation.
• Report any unusual observations to the nurse.
• Collect specimens for analysis as directed.
• Record and measure intake and output.
• Provide personal care and assist with daily activities.
• Perform basic clinical tasks under RN supervision.
• Assist with nutrition needs and meal service.

If you are a care taker at heart, consider joining the Beverly Hospital team as a Nursing Assistant under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide basic patient care activities in providing for the personal needs, comfort and safety of your patients.

Position Summary: The Patient Care Technician will provide basic care activities and provide personal needs, comfort and safety of your patient. The Nursing Assistant assists with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility will be focus on performing technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained. The Nursing Assistant must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a patient care team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of own work and remain flexible in response to change.

Examples of tasks to be completed

• Vital Signs
• Height and Weight
• Oxygen Saturation
• Reporting all unusual observations to the nurse
• Collecting various specimens for analysis
• Recording and measuring intake and output
• Providing patient with personal care and assisting with daily activities
• Performing basic clinical procedures independently or under the supervision of the RN
• Provide nutritional needs including assisting and ordering room service, setting up meal trays and feeding.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math
• Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional
• Basic computer skills (preferred)
• Medical terminology (preferred)
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Certification/License: CNACertification preferred but not required upon hire

** Every other weekend/ every other holiday required

Pay Range: $19.50 - $26.24

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographyof work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
