UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in La Grange, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician for a full-time night shift. Schedule: 36 hours per week, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM with rotating weekends and holidays; you will perform treatments, assist in nursing care under supervision, and maintain a safe, clean environment.

A sign-on bonus up to $5,000 is available for eligible applicants. Benefits start day one, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, PTO and retirement plan.

Competenze

• High School Grad or Equiv (Required).
• 1+ applicable PCT experience (Preferred).
• Previous bedside patient care in acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience (Preferred).

Mansioni

• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.

• Assists in delivering patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures per department policy.
• Participates in obtaining nursing history and reports abnormalities to the RN.
• Assists in identifying patient needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required] OR NCCT Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) [Required] OR AMCA Patient Care Technician Certification (PCT-C) [Required] OR Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required]
