Position Summary

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active CPR certification upon hire or within seven days if enrolled in the PCT internship, prior to patient contact.
• One of the following: 6 months acute care experience; 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; completion of a BayCare EAYL PCT Internship; Nursing Fundamentals (RN); Nursing Foundation (LPN) Programs; EMT certification/Paramedic license (ER only); or completion of an approved PCT or Nursing Assistant program. Non-approved PCT programs require BayCare PCT Bootcamp completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year hospital experience in a related field.

Educational and Credential Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certifications: Patient Care Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support). EMT certification preferred.
