Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses by providing hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families.

This role focuses on empathy, teamwork and attention to detail as you assist with vital signs, mobility, personal care, dressing changes, and infection-control practices, while helping the care team carry

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
