Patient Care Technician-3E Med/ Surg- Iowa Lutheran Hospital

Shifts: Nights; Full Time and Part Time

Each shift requires every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses including respiratory, gastroenterology, endocrinology, infectious disease, and stroke. 3 East provides an enriching learning experience and uses innovative care delivery to help provide holistic care to our patients by utilizing advancements in technology partnered with fundamental nursing care. Responsibilities

• PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
• Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
• Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
• Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 75 hour Certified Nursing Aid certification preferred. Indicate on your application which CNA certification you possess (75 hour, 120 hour or 150 hour).
• Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
