Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join Johnson Memorial Hospital in Connecticut. This part-time, 12-hour night shift role supports patients with daily living activities and basic care, delivering compassionate service in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Helps assigned patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, fluids intake, bathing and dressing.
• Performs selected tasks such as patient transport, specimen collection, and distribution of linens and supplies.
• Delivers care according to hospital procedures to protect patient safety and dignity.
• May perform secretarial tasks to aid in unit flow.

Description:

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. This person is responsible for assisting patients of various injuries, illnesses and disabilities while providing exceptional care to patients.

What you will do:

• Helps assigned patients with all activities of daily living.
  • personal hygiene
  • fluid intake, elimination
  • bathing and dressing
  • delivery of ice and beverages to patients as directed.
• Also perform selected tasks
  • patient transport
  • collection of specimens
  • distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms.
• The Patient Care Tech also provides care according to hospital procedures in a manner that protects the safety and dignity of patients.
• The Patient Care Tech may also perform secretarial tasks to aid in the flow of the unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/ Basic Life Support certification required (AMA or Red Cross)

Schedule:

• Part-Time, 24 hours night shift,7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.

Pay Range: $18.05 - $25.60

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
