Job summary

Innovative Renal Care (IRC) is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support ESRD patients across dialysis sessions. You will monitor patients before, during and after treatment, accurately record stats, and assist with cannulation and machine setup, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, are comfortable around blood and needles, and possess current BLS/CPR certification along with appropriate PCT credentials.

  • Desire to care for people and comfort around blood and needles.
  • Current PCT certification (BONENT/NNCC/NNCO or state-approved).
  • BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment.
  • Measure and record stats during dialysis sessions.
  • Initiate cannulation and assist with hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Provide patient observations and ensure safety throughout.
  • Collaborate with care team to support patient well-being.

Job description

Job Requirements

Our Patient Care Technicians provide high-quality patient care to patients suffering from the most advanced stage of chronic kidney disease, known as END Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). As a PCT you will monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, initiating cannulation, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Our Patient Care Technicians have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life.

Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a desire to care for people and be comfortable working around blood and needles.
  • Experienced PCTs must have current certification from BONENT, NNCC, or NNCO or if applicable other state approved certification.
  • Experienced PCTs are required to have current BLS/CPR certification.

Salary Range
  • $17.35 - $26.50 / hour depending on experience and qualifications
