Job summary

Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, GA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patient conditions, assist with daily living activities, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You'll perform vital signs, mobility, personal care, and restock supplies while communicating with patients and families to support safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• CNA, LNA, or EMT training program, or military medic training preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care setting or as a military medic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands‑on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.
