CommonSpirit Health Philanthropy is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician for the Hixson Unit. The role involves providing direct patient care, operating medical equipment, and performing various healthcare tasks under supervision. The Patient Care Tech is a multi-skilled, non-licensed healthcare provider who provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. They apply knowledge of growth and development to perform detailed assignments and interventions, providing consistent care tailored to the patient's physical and psychosocial needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
PCT I:
Students aged 16-17 may be employed with parental consent as part of the High School Health Career Program. Requires high school graduation or equivalent and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
PCT II:
Same age requirements and parental consent as PCT I. Must be a graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant program with a current Tennessee license, or a Certified Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant with active certification. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
