Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a patient caregiver to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. The role supports a Med Surg Tele Unit with a full-time schedule and day shifts.

Required certifications include Basic Life Support from AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network. Eligible candidates may have 6 months to 1 year of acute care or SNF experience and education as listed above.

Qualifications

• Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• Minimum Qualifications: You may qualify for the position through one of the following ways:
• 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver
• 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program
• Completion of a Baycare approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program--that includes a program with a minimum of 40 hours hands-on patient care experience outside of a lab setting
• 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver
