Job summary

Pottstown Hospital - Tower Health is seeking a nursing aide to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will perform routine patient care, observe patient conditions, and assist with daily living activities in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• BLS Certification required.
• Prior direct patient care experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
• Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures for patient safety and comfort.
• Observe patients and report changes in condition to the registered nurse.
• Perform phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
• Assist in activities of daily living including hygiene, changings, light housekeeping and monitoring vitals.

• Responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
• Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient.
• Perform observations of patients and reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
• Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
• Assist in all aspects of daily living activities for the patients, including, but not limited to general hygiene of the patient, changings, light housekeeping, and patient vitals.
