Now Hiring: IMC – Patient Care Technician

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11213

Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver routine personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support
• Assist patients with feeding and meal preparation
• Collect specimens and manage waste in compliance with clinical protocols
• Transfer and transport patients safely using appropriate techniques and equipment (including Hoyer lift)
• Accurately measure and document vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
• Assist with patient ambulation and mobility exercises, including range of motion (ROM)
• Support point-of-care testing (e.g., glucometer checks) and ensure proper use of clinical tools
• Maintain detailed and accurate records in accordance with hospital policies and procedures

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Completion of an accredited Patient Care Technician (PCT) program, including EKG and phlebotomy training
• Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and patient transfers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a psychiatric care setting with potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
