Employed through Sparrow Hospital, located at Mary Free Bed at U of M- Sparrow Inpatient
Shift Options: 6:30am - 7pm or 6:30am - 7am

This posting is for general Patient Care Technician opportunities at Sparrow Hospital. We have a variety of full-time and part-time positions.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) assists nurses in providing basic care and performs specific procedures with patients. The PCT works under the supervision and direction of an RN and/or LPN.
General Requirements: Basic life support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
Work Experience: Previous experience as a PCT or CNA in absence of the required education.
Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., or successful completion of 12 grades combined with continued enrollment in an early college program. Completion of Acute Care Nursing Assistant Program, certified nurse assistant program, Fundamentals of Nursing (if a current nursing student), medical assistant program, or EMT/Paramedic program.
Skills: Computer literacy, effective communication skills, excellent attendance, and commitment to ongoing education and mandatory requirements.
