HCA Healthcare's Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patient care under RN supervision at Eckerd Living Center. You will assist with mobility, daily living activities, and basic comfort measures while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication with patients and families, adherence to policies, and collaboration with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 15 days of employment start date.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.

• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked for safety and efficiency.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The PCT complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency

What qualifications you will need:

• Preferred Education: High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• Required License: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 15 days of employment start date
