DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to give life in an outpatient dialysis center. You can make a difference in the lives of patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. If you desire to deliver care empathetically and compassionately, this role is for you.

Joining DaVita as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) offers an exciting opportunity to start your healthcare career with paid, extensive training. You will learn skills to care for patients and build a network of healthcare professionals. After training, you will join a team including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other PCTs to care for patients. This role is more than a job; it’s a career driven by passion and purpose.

Position details include:

  • No prior dialysis experience required.
  • Training may occur in a different facility or clinic.
  • Potential to float across clinics during and after training.
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What to expect:

  • Direct patient care, providing safe, comfortable dialysis treatments.
  • Monitoring patients before, during, and after treatments, including measuring stats and machine setup. Note: exposure to blood and needles.
  • Building long-term relationships and educating patients about dialysis and related topics.
  • Working with a team of clinicians including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, under the supervision of an RN.

Minimum requirements:

  • Healthcare certifications like CNA, CHT, CMA, or Phlebotomy are a plus.
