DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician eager to make a difference in the lives of patients at an outpatient dialysis center. If you are compassionate and empathetic, this role offers a meaningful career in healthcare.

Joining DaVita as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides an excellent opportunity to start your healthcare career. With paid, comprehensive training, you will develop the skills necessary to care for patients and collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals. After training, you will join a dedicated team including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other PCTs. This role is about giving life and pursuing a career driven by passion and purpose.

DaVita, meaning "giving life" in Italian, is committed to delivering quality service to patients, partners, and teammates. Our mission is to be the Provider, Partner, and Employer of Choice.

Our PCTs find professional fulfillment at DaVita. We offer clear pathways for advancement through our Clinical Ladders program. Through DaVita's Bridge to your Dreams program, teammates with six months in their role and in good standing are eligible for tuition assistance to pursue nursing degrees or certifications. We also provide training for roles such as Facility Administrator and Regional Operations Director. Your growth depends on your performance and ambition.

Position details include:

  • No prior dialysis experience required.
  • Training may occur at a different facility or clinic.
  • Potential to work across multiple clinics during and after training.
  • A flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

What to expect:

  • Providing direct patient care during dialysis treatments.
  • Monitoring multiple patients before, during, and after treatment, including measuring stats and machine setup.
  • Building long-term relationships with patients and educating them on dialysis-related topics.
  • Working within a team of clinicians including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, under RN supervision.

Benefits include:

  • Comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, and PTO cash out.
  • Support services for you and your family, including counseling, elder and child care resources, and pet insurance.
  • Paid training and professional development programs.

Minimum requirements:

  • A desire to care for others.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfort working around blood and needles.
  • Ability to work long hours on your feet and willingness to train across clinics.
  • Healthcare certifications such as CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy are a plus.

DaVita is committed to diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities and fostering a community where everyone belongs. We are a drug-free workplace, conducting pre-employment testing and background checks.
