Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician to join our collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patient conditions, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will assist with daily tasks such as vital signs, mobility, personal care, and infection-control practices, while communicating with patients, families, and the care team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training is required.
• No travel is required for this role.
• 0 years of experience is stated as not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas, spaces, and supplies clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
