Job summary

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician in Dunkirk, NY to support patients with end-stage renal disease in outpatient dialysis clinics. You will provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision and help patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

The role involves delivering safe dialysis, monitoring patients, setting up equipment, recording data, and educating patients on kidney health, while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Comfortable around blood, needles and medical equipment.
• Physically able to stand long shifts.
• Willing to float between local clinics as needed.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands‑on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life‑sustaining dialysis treatment.

The Wage Range for the role is $18.50-$29.00 per hour. Patient Care Technician ICHD Resident: $19.00-$20.00 per hour. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour
