Description

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the PCT performs delegated basic patient care services, assisting with activities of daily living and maintaining a safe, clean environment. The role requires compliance with hospital policies and nursing regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in implementing nursing care plans under RN supervision.
2. Record patient information such as vital signs, intake/output, and other data.
3. Help with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, and transfers.
4. Collect specimens and ensure accurate labeling and transfer.
5. Support patients with daily activities like eating, bathing, and grooming.
6. Serve as Monitor/Telemetry Tech as needed.
7. Engage in evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and experience.

Qualifications

1. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
2. Preferred: 1+ years healthcare experience, previous PCT or CNA experience.
