Qualifications

• Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, and ambulation.
• Observes and reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Maintains clean and stocked patient rooms and common areas.
• Documents care per unit standards and supports department throughput.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and possible glucose checks.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Maintains clean, safe and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
• Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
• Documents care and activities per unit standards.
• Performs other duties; participates in performance improvement and required education.
