Job summary

Penn Medicine, Pennsylvania Hospital, is seeking a Full Time- Day Shift CNA to support the delivery of quality patient care under RN supervision. The CNA engages with patients, assists with daily living activities, and participates in handoffs and unit huddles.

Credentials include PA CNA or RN without BSN, and BLS certification. HS diploma or GED required; BSN coursework preferred. Phlebotomy experience is a plus as is a strong commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide (Required).
• CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania or RN without a BSN Degree.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a genuine care for the patient with active listening and respectful approach.
• Participates in RN/CNA handoffs and unit huddles.
• Communicates with patients to ascertain needs and request assistance.
• Answers patient call signals and intercoms to determine needs.
• Supports activities of daily living and preserves patient dignity.
