Job summary

Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine LLC in Colorado is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support healthcare practitioners and deliver compassionate care to patients. In this role you will greet, room, take vitals, review medical history, and assist with procedures under the supervision of clinicians.

Requirements include a High school diploma or GED and Medical Assistant Certificate/License or higher, plus CPR/AED.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination.
Medical Assistant Certificate/License or higher.
Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) certification.

Responsibilities

Greets and rooms patients and records vitals (height, weight, temp, pulse, respiration, SpO2).
Completes patient intake including med hx, social hx, meds and chief complaint.
Anticipates tests needed (Hgb Mc, Quick Strep, Rapid Flu, Urine Dip, pregnancy).
Calls back lab results, refills, and messages as directed.
Assists with injections, phlebotomy, procedures, nebulizers and EKGs.
Conducts Occupational Medicine tests (DOT physicals, Pre-Employment Exams).
Opens/closes, cleans, stocks exam rooms; autoclaves instruments.
Answers phones, checks in/out patients, verifies insurance, manages referrals.
Adheres to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Participates in required trainings and meetings.
Performs other duties to support office operations.
