Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with patient care under the direction of professional staff, supporting patients, the nursing unit and the care team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and typically CNA or CMA program completion, EMT or military medic background is a plus; BLS certification is required. The position features a 12x3 day shift with 7a–7p hours and alternate weekends, 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CNA/CMA program completion or nursing student status preferred.
• EMT/paramedic credentials or military medic experience are pluses.
• Foreign nursing graduates not licensed in the U.S. may qualify with other credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under the direction of professional staff to support patients, nursing unit and staff.
• Provide care tasks as part of the patient care team and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Education

Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program

Certified Medical Assistant program

Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program

Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman

Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S

• Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S Or


• EMT Certification/Paramedic License

Licenses And/or Certifications
