Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Backus Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech to work under a Nurse Leader, providing direct and indirect patient care to ensure safe, efficient care. No prior experience is required as training is provided on-site, with orientation toward PCT competencies.

Preferred candidates may hold a high school diploma or GED and relevant CNA/CPCT/A/EMT/CMA certifications, plus BLS credentials. This role offers opportunities for advancement via a clinical ladder and a competitive

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-site training provided.
• Successful completion of PCT-specific HHC orientation.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 60 days of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Leader in a high-activity environment.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience and participate in the clinical ladder for career advancement.
