Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Sitter/Patient Care Tech (PCT) on the Resource Team (3p-3a) to provide direct patient care under registered nurse delegation, monitor safety, and support the health care team. This role serves patients from newborn to geriatric and participates in delivering outstanding customer service.

Candidates should have completion of a nurse assistant training program or equivalent, demonstrated communication skills, multitasking, and basic data

Qualifications

• Multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Computer/data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized patient-focused care under the direct delegation of a registered nurse.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and intake/output as directed.
• Assists with bathing, feeding, dressing, turning and repositioning, and transporting.
• Answers call lights, directs visitors, runs errands, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Maintains PHI privacy and security per HIPAA requirements.
