Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital in Largo, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PRN) to join our collaborative nursing team. You will assist Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patients, and support comfort and safety in daily activities and during care plans.

You bring compassion, attention to detail, and teamwork to help restore dignity for every patient we serve. No travel required; certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of start date is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated empathy and effective teamwork in patient care.
• Able to communicate clearly with patients, families and care team.
• Experience in assisting with daily activities and monitoring patients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection
• Keeping patient areas clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
