Job summary

Jobtailor in Mandan, ND is seeking a healthcare support professional to prepare exam rooms, assist with vital signs and screenings, and perform basic patient care under supervision. You will help nursing staff, handle clerical tasks, and manage equipment and supplies in a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of six months’ experience preferred.
• Experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
• CNA preferred.
• Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific competencies and certifications.
• BLS for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
• If working in North Dakota and not a CNA, must be NA registered within four months from start.
• Must be self-motivated, independent, and able to work well with team members.
• Must work amidst distractions while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform drug screens and point-of-care urinalysis.
• Support nursing staff in daily workflow.
• Perform reception and clerical tasks.
• Provide basic patient care services under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional.
• Prepare and clean medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste according to standards and policy.
• Clean and maintain patient care areas and treatment rooms.
• Monitor medical inventory stock levels and restock or reorder as needed.
• Work patient registries and identify opportunities to improve patient care.
• Provide age-related and culturally appropriate care from adolescence through geriatrics.
