Job summary

HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nurses and physicians in daily patient care activities in Lombard, IL. The role involves assisting with care, preparing post-op kits, directing patients to rooms, and maintaining equipment sterility and supplies.

Qualified candidates will have completed a patient care tech program (preferred) with at least six months of related experience and hold a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a patient care tech program preferred and at least six months prior related experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient care under supervision and assist medical staff.
• Prepare post-op kits and direct patients to rooms.
• Ensure sterilization of instruments and maintain supplies.
• Keep waiting rooms and front/back areas organized.

Job Title

Patient Care Technician

Salary Range

$17.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on skill and experience level.

General Summary Of Duties

Under supervision, performs routine non-professional and professional care; unbagging and bagging equipment, make up post op kits, direct doctors and patients to the appropriate rooms, assist medical staff with patient care, perform visual fields, setup patients for required testing, keep instruments and equipment sterilized, maintain adequate supplies and keep front and back waiting rooms in order.

Please note that we do not participate in the CNA healthcare registry.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Patient care tech program preferred and at least six months prior related experience in assisting with care of patients.
• Current American Heart Assn.
• BLS certificate Required.
