Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to provide direct patient care in the PreOp/PostOp area. The role supports admission, transfers, and discharges, while documenting care and ensuring safety and comfort for patients and families.

The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, applying CPR/CP r skills and adhering to facility protocols in a fast-paced surgical unit. This full-time day position offers growth opportunities within a Magnet-designated hospital system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPI training or ability to obtain CPI within 90 days.
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care and maintained.
• Must comply with CLIA regulations for foreign education equivalency.
• EMT or equivalent training experience acceptable upon hire.
• Nursing student status or EMT status allowed if demonstrated competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collect and report patient data; assist with admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Perform technical procedures safely and document care accurately.
• Collaborate with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and respond to patient needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication across disciplines.
• Support process improvement and safety initiatives.
