Job summary

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Patient Care Tech to assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care, and support Nursing Assistants and PCTs. The role includes cross-training as Unit Associate and maintaining a safe, clean unit environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• License/Certification: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program, Florida-issued CNA license, or completion of first semester of Registered Nurse program.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer into role date.

The Patient Care Tech. assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient, and serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCT’s and is cross-trained to Unit Associate. Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
