Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for PreOp/PostOp to join our team. You will provide direct patient care under supervision, support admissions and discharges, and document accurately.

You will collaborate with nursing staff to tailor care to diverse populations while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Full-time days at our Fort Worth location offer 40 hours weekly with weekend and holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CLIAFE compliance for foreign education equivalency required.
• PCT training or THR approved program required at hire; not required to maintain certification after hire in all cases.
• BCLS and CPI training required prior to providing independent patient care; maintained annually.

• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.

Work hours: Full-Time Days (4 Days a Week - 9:30 AM -7:00 PM) for 40 hours/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

Here's What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required .
• Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required .
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college program or a THR approved program. Not required to maintain certification when applicable after hire. Upon Hire Required Or
• EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Military experience with medical training equivalent (Equivalent to EMT-B) Upon Hire Required Or
• Other Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program Upon Hire Required Or
• Other 1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active and approved certification. Upon Hire Required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required .
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
• Nursing Students who do not complete course of study in nursing but having completed their Fundamentals Training and EMTs who do not formally retain their EMT status may continue in role if they have consistently demonstrated skills in their PCT position.
