Texas Health Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Cardiac PCU to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will support data collection, admissions, transfers and discharges while assisting with procedures and maintaining a safe, compassionate environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, PCT training, BCLS, CPI, and EMT or nursing-related credentials. Part-time night shift (24 hrs/week) available; email recruitment for details.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited program. Not required to maintain certification after hire.
• EMT - EMT training or equivalent required after hire.
• Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program after hire.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required before independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually (90 days) required.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Work hours: Part-Time Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) for 24 hours/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college program or a THR approved program. Not required to maintain certification when applicable after hire. Upon Hire Required Or
• EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Military experience with medical training equivalent (Equivalent to EMT-B) Upon Hire Required Or
• Other Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program Upon Hire Required Or
• Other 1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active and approved certification. Upon Hire Required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required.
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
• Nursing Students who do not complete course of study in nursing but having completed their Fundamentals Training and EMTs who do not formally retain their EMT status may continue in role if they have consistently demonstrated skills in their PCT position.
