Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Amarillo, TX is seeking a night-shift, full-time Oncology Unit Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff with basic patient care and daily activities. You will monitor vitals, assist with ADLs, and observe patient progress to relay information to the RN.

The role requires completion of some high school education and BLS within 14 days of hire, with preferred credentials including a high school diploma or GED and PCT or CNA certification.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Observes patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
