Job summary
Norman Regional is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a Regular Full Time daytime role (7a-7p) in our Medical unit. You will provide basic patient care, maintain a safe environment, record vital signs, and support nursing and clerical tasks for efficient patient processing.
Six months of CNA experience and current BLS certification are required; high school diploma or GED is mandatory. Opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.
Qualifications

- Six months of recent healthcare experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Nursing assistant certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic patient care

- Takes and records vital sign data and relays to patient's nurse
- Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures
- Facilitates processing of patients
- Provides clerical receptionist support
- Provides Coordinating Support

Job description
- $14.29-$23.34/hr. based on previous work experience
- Evening differential $1.50/hr.
- Night differential $1.75/hr.
- Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

Our Medical team provides medical/surgical care to adult populations with a wide variety of complex medical conditions. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patients. Our unit consists of 16 med/surg tele beds and provides post-op colorectal surgical care.
Job Summary

- Provides Coordinating Support
- Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department
- High School diploma or equivalent GED.
- Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience
- Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
