Position Details

Unit: Medical Telemetry
Schedule: Two 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend, from 7pm-7am, with rotating holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse, reporting changes and concerns.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Accurately document patient care activities.
• Participate in hand-offs and report pertinent information.
• Perform delegated tasks after competency validation.
• Mobilize patients using therapeutic techniques to promote independence and safety.
• Encourage patient independence and personalize care based on patient interests.

Qualifications

Education: None required
Licensure/Certification: BLS preferred upon hire (must obtain before direct patient care). Completion of nursing aide training, STNA, CNA, or relevant clinical experience required.

Experience & Skills

• Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt proactively in a fast-changing environment.

Training

EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferred.
