Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a night-shift, full-time Intermediate Care - Stepdown (IMC) Patient Care Technician (PCT). The role supports nursing staff by providing basic patient care, assisting with daily activities, and monitoring patients in a compassionate, Christian-loving care environment.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, collecting specimens for lab tests, and reporting patient progress to nurses.

Qualifications

• Must have completed some high school education.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency; Completion of High School PCT competencies; Certification as a PCT or CNA.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Nurse.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
