Job summary

Oklahoma City Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech to join our patient care team under the supervision of a Nurse. You will perform delegated functions to support health, safety and comfort of patients in accordance with hospital standards.

Pay is based on years of experience and qualifications. This role offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth in function, skill, and pay.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required (online not acceptable).
• Completion of education in a related health field (medical assistant program, EMT, etc.).
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care tasks as part of the care team.
• Support patients' health, safety and comfort in accordance with hospital standards.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication with the care team.

Position Summary

These activities contribute to meeting the health care, safety and comfort needs of patients, and are performed in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience
• Completion of education in a related health field (medical assistant program, EMT certification, etc.)
