Job summary

Oklahoma City Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a nursing student to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You must be currently enrolled in nursing school. Under the supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides delegated patient care to support comfort, safety and health care needs.

Shift options include Full Time Days or Nights, or PRN Nights. Pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in nursing school.
• BLS certification required from AHA/ARC (online not acceptable).
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

• Provide delegated patient care under RN supervision to meet health care and comfort needs.

Under the supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech performs delegated functions as a member of the patient care team to provide a variety of services. These activities contribute to meeting the health care, safety and comfort needs of patients, and are performed in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Shift: Full Time Days or Nights, or PRN Nights

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous patient care experience
• Completion of education in a related health field (medical assistant program, EMT certification, etc.)
