The Patient Care Tech (PCT) provides direct patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional, in accordance with regulations and organizational policies.
BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred upon hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care.
Must have completed one of the following:
None required.
Recent experience in healthcare settings preferred.
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferred.
High stress, potential exposure to physical altercations, verbal abuse, hazardous substances, body fluids, and infectious materials. May require working alone and handling interruptions.
Provides age-appropriate care for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, based on growth, development, and patient needs.
