Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide individualized patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting in Arizona. You will assist with basic tasks, participate in shift and bedside reports, and support regional and unit initiatives, while upholding patient rights and infection control best practices.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, or CNA/PCA/PCT certification, CPR, and EKG training on selected units.

Job Summary

Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists the professional or licensed nurse as delegated in tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside report. Participates and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

Special Skill: Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and health care team members.

Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique and infection control best practices.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT Certificate

EKG training in selected units.

Certifications/Licensure: CPR

Preferred Requirements

Experience: One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.

Certifications/Licensure: CNA/LNA from the Arizona State Board of Nursing
