Job summary

Baylor University Medical Center- Dallas, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Bone Marrow Transplant unit. The role involves delivering patient care under licensed nurse supervision and supporting families as outlined in the care plan.

You will collect vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, respond to call lights, and help with admissions, transfers, and discharges while following unit policies.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician performs various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision. Helps deliver patient care and meet family needs. Follows the care plan, considering the patient's age and development stage.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Collect and record patient data, record vital signs and help patients with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Answer call lights and complete patient rounds.
• Help with completing/maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharges.
• Take care of patient personal hygiene and help with patient clean up.
• Comply with Baylor Scott and White policies and procedures.
