Job summary

Premier Health in Ohio is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Operating Room. The role supports nurses and doctors in patient care, movement, hygiene, and routine tasks within a fast-paced surgical unit.

You'll verify vitals, assist with exams, and help with paperwork under nurse supervision. Orientation includes HIPAA and safety protocols; prior hospital experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS CPR certification required (orientation may include training).
• No prior experience required if you have STNA/CNA/Patient Care Technician training, or nursing student with clinical rotation.
• Able to multitask, stay organized, and use a computer.
• Strong communication and teamwork with nurses and doctors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor temperature, heartbeat, and breathing.
• Assist patients with mobility, dressing, and eating.
• Collect samples such as urine.
• Report changes in patient condition to a nurse.
• Assist with patient hygiene, ambulation, and vitals.
