Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support physicians and nursing staff in a Neuro Acute Care setting during day hours. The role involves hands-on care to meet basic patient needs and to ensure comfort, safety, and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work within a multidisciplinary team while using computer-based data management systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team with physicians and nurses.
• Proficiency with computer-based data management systems and clinical information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, dressing).
• Record vital signs, weights, and heights accurately.
• Support patient mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion activities.
• Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observe patient condition and report changes to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
