Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA is seeking an energetic Patient Care Tech to join our fast-paced 30-bed Med-Surg unit. You will provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients under licensed staff supervision, supporting treatments and routines on a team-focused unit.

The role emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and compassionate patient care, with night shifts (7pm-7am) and opportunities for the unit’s education and professional growth as part of a welcoming work family.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• No experience required; 1 year of patient care preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire; CNA preferred; Certification from a Patient Care Technician program preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Tech provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle under the supervision of licensed clinical staff.
• Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios.

Med A is seeking an energetic medical-surgical nurse to join our dynamic team here at Piedmont Athens. We pride ourselves in providing high quality, evidenced based care on a fast paced 30 bed Med-Surg unit. Our Med A staff coordinate health care plans with the entire medical team to provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients suffering from a variety of illnesses and comorbidities including overflow from our specialty care units such as Surgery, Pulmonary, Neuroscience, Oncology, and Orthopedics. Support staff include IV team, home med nurse and lift team.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
