Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is hiring for a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant role to support nursing teams during the night shift. The position requires 3 x 12 hour shifts, 6pm–6am, with rotating weekends and involves direct patient care under RN supervision.

Minimum High School Grad or Equiv is required; CNA/CPCT-A/EMT/BLS are required or preferred certifications. Prior acute care bedside experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• 1+ PCT experience is preferred.
• Previous bedside patient care in acute care or related roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and supports quality standards.
• Follows isolation guidelines and safety regulations.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in delivering patient care under direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents procedures as per department policy.
• Assists in obtaining nursing history and reports abnormalities.

Job Description

Education

Work Experience

• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

Licenses And Certifications

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required] OR
• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required]

Pay Range

$15.31 - $24.50
